AUK worked with international software development company Amdaris to give them a bold and ambitious new brand that feels as cutting edge as they are.
Amdaris is a software development company with staff based in Bristol, Moldova and Romania. They needed help defining their value proposition and brand expression. Plus, they wanted us to create a reputation building marketing strategy that drove referral. In short, they were after a cutting edge brand that reflected their dynamic teams and ambition for growth.
First up, we held stakeholder interviews with team members across the business to define what it was that made Amdaris unique. This formed the basis of a joint workshop through which we found their brand’s Meaningful Difference and defined detailed brand values.
Then we created a distinctive and ownable brand position and mission statement to help Amdaris stand out from the competition and, importantly, show added value over cheaper offshore development competitors. Taking inspiration from brands whose culture of excellence is what shapes them to perform, like Netflix, Rapha, John Lewis and TED.
Subsequently, the concept we created reflected the bold, ambitious nature of their teams, and tied back to the distinctive A in the Amdaris logo, with the notion of ‘bringing your A game’. We called it The Power of A, because the underscore on the A helped highlight the strong and memorable brand asset, while bringing emphasis, confidence and a way to start owning key statements. This was partnered with bold staff photography and high impact statements.
To launch the new brand, AUK partnered with Interaction, workplace design specialists, in developing Amdaris’ new £250k Head Office at Finzels Reach in Bristol. And to bring the brand to life at the launch event, we commissioned Tape Over, Berlin based tape artists, to create a real-time artwork on the night.
Their launch has been making headlines, gaining coverage across regional outlets that include Business Leader, South West Business Insider and the Bristol Post. They’ve been activating ‘The Power of A’ through awareness campaigns to generate sales leads during 2019. Because with their innovative new workspace, defined culture and globally scalable proposition, Amdaris’ brand is now as bold and ambitious as they are.
