Heavyweight weight-loss brand Slimsticks appoint AgencyUK
Slimsticks, a natural weight loss aid has appointed TheAgency to spearhead their advertising and marketing communications, ahead of a national roll-out with a well known national retailer.
Slimsticks, who secured Imogen Thomas as their brand ambassador in 2011, have enjoyed a period of consecutive growth throughout the UK and have rarely been absent from the national press or Twittersphere. A completely natural product, Slimsticks works by reducing the bodies appetite aiding weight loss. Some people have been known to lose 6lb in just one week.
“The appointment of TheAgency represents an exciting opportunity for the Slimsticks brand,” says Franco Beer, Managing Director at Inovate Health. “We have experienced good national penetration via Lloyds Pharmacy and built a healthy direct business online, and now the time is right to really push mass market penetration, and position Slimsticks at the forefront of all weight loss and weight management products.”
AgencyUK, famed for taking challenger brands to the number one spot, have been tasked with helping Slimsticks realise their vision for the brand and drive their growth in sales across a number of media channels, with particular focus online.
AgencyUK have sought an aggressive growth strategy for themselves throughout 2012, having successfully added Teachers Assurance and global casino brand InterCasino to their list of client wins, as well as making some high profile senior level hires.
“We are an integrated agency with digital at our heart, and there’s nothing we like more than serving a growing and demand led category with a product that potentially breaks the boundaries for success. Slimsticks have some of the strongest scientific evidence to support their product, and raising the brand awareness and scaling up the sales should be relatively easy,” says Sammy Mansourpour, MD at AgencyUK.
Slimsticks is currently available online from Slimsticks.com and Amazon, and will also be available via a new national retail network later on this year.
