Bath based Planning, Creative, Technology and Media firm The Agency have released their annual accounts showing an increase in agency turnover by 50% and gross profit by 35% in 2013. The Agency have grown to 25 full time staff, and continue to hire into their planning teams, creative and design teams as well as their technology teams.

“We have invested heavily in our technology capabilities in light of new client wins, and the increased emphasis on digital marketing in general by the industry. Our capabilities have broadened to include complex CRM system builds, marketing automation as well as data security and reporting. We have scaled our technology team with front end and backend PHP developers, as well as technical leads, giving us, we believe, one of the strongest technical departments in the region” says Saman Mansourpour, Managing Director, The Agency.

Since its incorporation in January 2008 by founders Saman Mansourpour and Amy Stobie, The Agency has enjoyed year on year growth despite the hardened economic climate. Early success included winning the British School of Motoring and Quintiles Pharmaceuticals accounts off larger London based incumbent agencies. The growth continued throughout 2009 and 2010, with high profile account wins such as BT and Del Monte. The Agency currently rank in the UK’s Top 100 Agencies* and feature in Drum Magazine’s Design 100 as well as their Top 100 UK Digital Agencies.

In November 2013 The Agency dominated the prestigious Marketing Industry Awards, picking up four wins out of six nominations. The Agency team saw off stiff competition from larger established agencies to take Best UK Small Agency of the Year as well as the Chairman’s Award.

In a great start to 2014, The Agency have already signed four high profile brands to their client roster, as well as being nominated finalists in eight categories for this year’s RAR Awards, which include Best Advertising Agency, Best Brand Strategists and Best Design Agency. The awards are famed for being judged in the most part by clients themselves and winners will be announced this April. In addition to this, The Agency received two nominations for awards at this year’s Drum Marketing Awards including the category of Marketing Agency of the Year. Winners to be announced in May.

“We have been delighted with our success in 2013, and are now looking to build on this. We have a fantastic team of people, some might say the best in the business. We’ve worked hard to build a marketing agency that’s fit for the modern world and a great and inspiring place to work. The clients who we partner with and the brands that we are responsible for are testament to our success as a team” says Amy Stobie, Operations Director, The Agency.
