Planet
Everything digital has a physical footprint.
Websites, data centres, cloud infrastructure, content, advertising and AI all use energy. As our industry becomes more digital and more computationally intensive, understanding that impact matters.
We’re working to reduce the environmental impact of how AgencyUK operates and of the digital experiences we create. As a certified B Corp since 2022, that work is independently assessed alongside our impact on our people and communities.
Responsibility starts at home.
We look at the impact of how the agency runs, including energy, technology, travel, procurement and the everyday decisions involved.
Our carbon-neutrality policy includes planting 1,000 trees for every £10,000 generated, with an ambition to be planting 400,000 trees each year by 2030.
Where we can reduce our impact, we do. Where we can’t yet eliminate it, we look for better alternatives and keep measuring our progress.
AgencyUK Digital Carbon Charter
We grow your business, not your carbon footprint.
Digital activity has an environmental cost. A single impression might seem insignificant, but across campaigns reaching millions of people, that impact adds up.
That’s why we created the AgencyUK Digital Carbon Charter.
Launched in 2023 in partnership with Ecologi, the Charter is our opt-in carbon-offsetting initiative, giving clients the opportunity to offset the environmental impact of their digital campaigns through reforestation and wider sustainability schemes.
Supporting the planet never tasted so sweet.
In 2022, we reintroduced honey bees to our Beehive Yard home, where they help pollinate the surrounding area, support biodiversity and help native plant life thrive.
Managed by our friends at Knight’s Beekeeping, the hives have also created another way for us to give something back to our local community.
Profits from our honey have supported the Wild Walcot community planting scheme, with proceeds from recent harvests helping fund rewilding projects, tools and a new portable watering system to help care for planters and hanging baskets on Walcot Street.
Building better digital.
Digital performance and responsibility don’t have to exist separately.
Lighter digital experiences also mean faster pages, more efficient code, optimised assets, purposeful content, simpler journeys, appropriate technology and less unnecessary data moving between servers, platforms and users.
Our web and tech teams weigh digital efficiency alongside accessibility, usability, performance and commercial effectiveness from the start of a project, so environmental impact shapes how we design and build instead of being reviewed at the end.
